Frequently Asked Questions Q. What does "TDH" stand for? A. The origins of how "TDH" came to be is far too long a story to relay in this forum. As such, for the sake of simplicity, TDH Strategies offers "Solutions For Everyone," and hence TDH stands for "Tom, Dick and/or Harry." Q. What does TDH Strategies offer as a competitive advantage? A. The integration of extensive knowledge and understanding of public policy and government, refined research and writing skills, and a wealth of varied professional experience in communications. TDH Strategies is also able to offer an extremely competitive price point comparative to the market. Most importantly, however, is an intimate, hands on approach that removes pretense and rigid protocol, while providing services and work ethic that always goes the extra mile. Q. Our company does not have any involvement with government. How would policy research and development have any benefit for our business? A. Canada is currently on the verge of a huge upheaval which will not only redefine the relationships between federal, provincial and municipal levels of government, but also have a huge impact in the composition of how private industry and government will coexist in contributing to economic development. A perfect example of the ambiguity that this type of change will create can be found in the possibility for a "New Deal" for Canadian municipalities (refer to the January 5, 2004 Hill Times Op/Ed in the Past Projects section). Now is the time for industry of all stripes to step up to the task of setting the agenda within the span of this transition. Q. Does TDH Strategies need office space to be provided by the client? A. No, TDH Strategies has its own company workspace. Generally, while contact is constant, most work is done remotely. Nonetheless, if a client desires that TDH Strategies works in-house, arrangements can be made for a designated allotment of time to accommodate such a request. Q. How much does TDH Strategies charge? A. While there tends to be a range of rates depending on the project, price is always determined based on the length of the contract, the type of work involved and the materials provided. Q. Can TDH Strategies design a website like this one for me? A. While web design is not a core service, the TDH Strategies website was done internally and therefore the answer is absolutely. Not only has TDH Strategies completed contracts for companies involved in domain development and online marketing, as well as for Internet start-ups, the company has established professional relationships with several web designers. Once again of interest, the pricing for this endeavour is quite economical. Q. I am interested in how the services of TDH Strategies can benefit me, but I am unaware of where my priorities lie and whether I have enough budget. Can TDH Strategies provide some clarification? A. TDH Strategies is always willing to conduct a brainstorming session in advance of signing a contract. Whether conducted in person, or by way of phone and/or instant messaging for out of town inquiries, these exercises always become a very valuable undertaking for potential clients, as the ideas and strategies formulated cost nothing more than their time. |
