Taking nothing away from the federal Liberal party, this definitely sets a whole new standard for back-biting. (click here to continue) August 23, 2004 - American politics is a well-known bloodsport, and so the viciousness of the current Presidential campaign should come as no surprise to anyone. As Democratic nominee John Kerry is slowly learning, however, the only way to fight a dirty smear campaign is to counter it head on: This just released ad is very powerful...if John Kerry's military record is open for attacks, then so too should the past political tactics of President George W. Bush. Those associated with the President have designated the awarding of three Purple Hearts in the case of Kerry, or the five years spent by Republican Senator John McCain as a P.O.W., as somehow questionable. But when it comes to Mr. Bush, who didn't show up for his Texas National Guard duty for a period of approximately one year, possibly more, in 1972-1973, well...he is obviously beyond reproach. Maybe they should just get Don King involved to organize a no-holds-barred, winner takes all showdown between Kerry & Bush, and save the American voting public (well, the half that bothers to show up, that is) the trouble of participating in this circus they call an election. Well the obvious answer to that question is when that government is led by the self-proclaimed harbinger of "transformative change," Paul Martin. Now, this is far from a unique phenomenon, although this time around, the pair are most often described as "animated condoms," or something to that effect.
To all Canadian athletes, who according to a recent article in the magazine Men's Journal, are the most ardent Olympic partiers in the world, may the wind be at your backs, and gold be in your futures. 2004 - "President
Bush has told you, and I have reiterated the promise, that when we have
specific credible information that we will share it. This afternoon we do
