What's New

May 1, 2007 - Every bit of good will that Green party leader Elizabeth May had built as a result of what I believed to be her no-nonsense, pragmatic approach to politics has been eviscerated with these comments.

I'm sick and tired of public figures using the Nazis in comparisons to every public policy issue under the sun. It's inappropriate, it's cheap, and quite frankly, it completely diminishes one's credibility - regardless of how much of an alleged "guru" that person might claim to be.

But May didn't stop with her comparison to the SS...she thought that she would also offer up a sermon, and tie God into her Green political hogwash:

"We have a moral obligation to our Lord and Father to ensure we don't destroy the creation that was given to us. Through the power of our Lord and Jesus Christ, we can meet this moral obligation."

Well it's a good thing the Liberals decided not to run anyone against her, as it is clear from this inspiring message of faith that she clearly is prepared to represent all interests equally, regardless of one's heritage, creed or religious point of view. [gag]

The more I examine this Liberal free ride that Elizabeth May is receiving, the more I despise the decision - politically, strategically and ideologically.
